Tawna Boat is the heart and soul behind the Corner Bar & Grill, a venue that blends a cozy, down-home charm with a progressive, forward-thinking approach to entertainment. Since meeting Lavinia Vale in November of 2022, Tawna has spent two years championing the burlesque community, transforming her space into a hub for creativity and self-expression.

Known for her love of sunflowers and her unshakable positivity even in high-pressure moments, Tawna leads with grace and a pioneering spirit. Under her stewardship, the Corner Bar & Grill has become a beloved gathering place, where patrons feel welcome and performers thrive. Her birthday is December 18 and she is definitely worthy of celebration!

Lavinia Vale

Lavinia Vale (also known as Dr. Chrissy Mackey) earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a specialization in training and development. Her Masters degree focused specifically on leadership development and team management, while her undergraduate degree gave her the educational background and techniques to teach oration, debate, oral interpretation, acting and theatre development, vocal training (both speaking and singing), and costume creation, among other technical aspects of theatre.

Under the tutelage of international burlesque star, Vixen DeVille, and burlesque business courses with Sapphira and World Burlesque Academy, Lavinia has honed her skills and talents from being “just another performer,” to being a standout star and crowd favorite. In addition to burlesque, Lavinia also performs sideshow acts such as glass walking, fire eating/breathing/manipulation, and is also an operatic singer with over 30 years of training. She produces Coos Corner Cabaret in Coquille, OR, which is where she moved in 2022.
