Having started her burlesque journey in the Eugene burlesque community, this quirky kitten is making her debut on the coast this April 27, in honor of World Burlesque Day (April 26). The Aquaophidian is a cabaret and burlesque performer, finding her niche and finding her joy.

Aquaophidian is a bundle of energy and knows how to work a crowd. Her dynamic personality plays to the audience, plays with the audience, and plays for the audience. Take a journey with her as she teases and tantalizes you—from classic burlesque to stage kittening to daring sideshow performances—The Aquaophidian is sure to swim her way into your heart and become one of your instant favorites.

The Aquaophidian can be seen frequently at Old Nick’s Pub in Eguene for the Nocturne Revue (first Fridays) and the most unique burlesque experience in Eugene, Burlesque Karaoke (second Thursdays), also at Old Nick’s Pub.

Lavinia Vale

Lavinia Vale (also known as Dr. Chrissy Mackey) earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a specialization in training and development. Her Masters degree focused specifically on leadership development and team management, while her undergraduate degree gave her the educational background and techniques to teach oration, debate, oral interpretation, acting and theatre development, vocal training (both speaking and singing), and costume creation, among other technical aspects of theatre.

Under the tutelage of international burlesque star, Vixen DeVille, and burlesque business courses with Sapphira and World Burlesque Academy, Lavinia has honed her skills and talents from being “just another performer,” to being a standout star and crowd favorite. In addition to burlesque, Lavinia also performs sideshow acts such as glass walking, fire eating/breathing/manipulation, and is also an operatic singer with over 30 years of training. She produces Coos Corner Cabaret in Coquille, OR, which is where she moved in 2022.
